Consultant at ITC Groep

Mohamed has been working for the ITC Group since 2015. He has been a senior consultant for ITC since January 2018. He is also a member of the management team. Within the management team, Mohamed manages the operations of the ITC Group with a focus on HR and business development. In addition, he is involved in tenders as a project manager in the field of infrastructure, outdoor space management and engineering services.

In his spare time, Mohamed studies Counseling. Counseling is somewhere in the middle between coaching and psychotherapy. He uses this knowledge in his current work to contribute to sustainable employability within the ITC Group. Other than that, he really likes playing squash.

What is your favourite project of all the projects you have done so far?
I have done various great projects. If I must choose one, I guess it’s the reconstruction of De Kanis.

The public space in De Kanis is undergoing a true metamorphosis. In four phases, the village streets that were built on peat are raised by a concrete floor on piles. The municipality of Woerden wants to use this concrete construction to prevent the neighbourhood from subsiding for at least another 100 years. As project leader, I supervised the realisation of the winning MEAT plan. I did so in a multi-disciplinary team that consisted of a technical plan writer, an environment manager and a language artist.

Why did you decide to start working for the ITC Group?
I started working for the ITC Group because it offers room for entrepreneurship. As a member of the management team, I mean. More important is that there is also plenty of room for personal entrepreneurship, to steer my own work and my own development in the direction I envision.

Furthermore, I like working in customer-oriented jobs. As a consultant I spend a large part of my time working for – and together with – customers. One of the things I do is hold sessions to help our customers identify how they can distinguish themselves from competitors in a tender.

Last but not least, the ITC Group has a proven track record in the world of tenders. That something we can be proud of. Still, it’s rare to hear someone from ITC bragging about their work. I consider this modesty one of our assets

Daarnaast werk ik graag aan klantgerichte opdrachten. Als consultant werk ik namelijk een groot gedeelte van mijn tijd voor – en samen met – klanten, waarbij ik onder andere sessies leid bij onze klanten om het onderscheidend vermogen in een tender scherp te krijgen.
Last but not least, als ITC Groep hebben we onze sporen verdiend in de wereld van tenders en daar mogen we best trots op zijn. Toch zul je een ITC-er zelden horen opscheppen over zijn of haar werk. Ik zie deze bescheidenheid vooral als pluspunt.
