The Prorail Renewal Train Protection Programme aims to modernise the train protection system in four plots in the middle and southern part of the Netherlands. A request was made for the engineering and contracting part of the project. This is an expertise that only few engineering companies possess. The MEAT criteria concerned the engineering process, project organisation, planning and the people to be deployed. Since there were four plots and four candidates, our target was to win the largest plot. That worked better than expected: because one candidate withdrew, we not only won the largest plot, but the smallest one as well.
